Descrizione

Giuseppe Amadio was born in Todi in 1944 and lives and works here.

After attending free courses in design and advertising graphics, he worked in poster design on an industrial scale.
He alternates between working as a painter and as a designer in the furniture industry. For more than two decades he collaborated as a studio technician with artist Piero Dorazio. After an initial material-gestural poetics today he has landed on a strongly conceptual language, living his abstract-concrete experience with monochrome works.
He has held exhibitions since 1980 in Italy and abroad (Perugia, Viterbo, Forlì, Cesena, Porto San Giorgio, Sansepolcro, Milan, Rome, Pescara,
Bologna, Florence, Berlin, etc.). In 2011 he won the Arts Prize Culture Award as Artist of the Year at the Circolo della Stampa in Milan, nominated by Prof. Carlo Franza president of the Prize Jury. The most qualified critics were interested in his work, including Piero Dorazio and The distinguished historian Prof. Carlo Franza.

The work in question is “Baio – Rosso” from 2017, accompanied by photographic authentication of the artist.
